Summary The Intercalary Days The 4 Quarter Seasons The 8 Festivals The 12 'Triad' Months The 36 'Decan' Weeks Leap Years The Great Year The Intercalary Days
'Intercalary' Days are not part of the standard calendar cycle of the 12 'Triad' MonthsThey are inserted to keep the calendar perennial, the year 'in synch' with the equinoxes and to 'balance' the 4 Quarter Seasons, which would otherwise have different lengthsThe standard (non leap) UCC Year is 'balanced' by 5 Intercalary Days
These are shown in the above graphic as Day 1 in the centre and Days 2, 93, 184 & 275 around the edge
Leap Years are balance by 6 Intercalary Days with an extra Day 0 inserted at the start of the year
The Intercalary Days are highlighted in the graphic below
This is based on the orbit of the Earth ⊕ around the Sun ☉ with its 2 equinoxes & 2 solstices as shown below
Note: This graphic shows the cycle rotated 90° anti clockwise from the previous graphic so you can see the angle at the 2 solstices better
The equinoxes & solstices create the 4 Seasons and together with the Sun ☉ at the centre give us the 5 Special Days each year (4+1=5)
We can see this symbolised in the Ancient Solar (Celtic) Cross
And, the symbol for the Earth is '⊕' : a circle with a '+' added, based on this ancient symbol
Also, having developed the UCC based on this principle, I later came across this ancient archaic Mexican Calendar on Wikipedia!
The attributes of the Intercalary Days are summarised in the table below

Details
Intercalary Day 1 - 'New Year's Day'
Inserted for the Sun ☉ and the start of a new yearly cycle
It is always the 1st Full Day After the occurrence of the Northern Hemisphere Spring Equinox, when the Sun crosses the celestial equator rising north and which I therefore call the 'Nobenox' (a contraction of 'North Bound Equinox')
(The 'Nobenox' itself is celebrated by Intercalary Day 2)
Intercalary Days 2, 3, 4 & 5 - 'New Season's Days'
These are inserted for the 2 Equinoxes and the 2 Solstices and their respective Quarter Seasons
Intercalary Day 0 - Leap Year's Day
Balances Leap YearsIt is inserted before New Year's Day in Leap Years to make 6 Intercalary Days and 366 Days in total
All the Intercalary Days are also days within one of 4 'Cardinal Festivals'
Numerology of the Intercalary Days
There is a nice 'synchronicity' to the numerology of the intercalary days whereby:
their day of the year numbers reduce to their intercalary day numbers:
Day 000 of the year = intercalary day 0
Day 001 of the year = intercalary day 1
Day 002 of the year = intercalary day 2
Day 093 of the year = intercalary day 3
0 + 9 + 3 = 12 then 1 + 2 = 3
Day 184 of the year = intercalary day 4
1 + 8 + 4 = 13 then 1 + 3 = 4
Day 275 of the year = intercalary day 5
2 + 7 + 5 = 14 then 1 + 4 = 5
AND
in standard (non leap) years of 365 days there are 5 intercalary days
3 + 6 + 5 = 14 then 1 + 4 = 5
AND
in leap years of 366 days there are 6 intercalary days
3 + 6 + 6 = 15 then 1 + 5 = 6
